Revelation 19

Chapter 19:

v. 15: Compare this image with that of Isaiah 63:1-6.

v. 16: Why is this name inscribed on his thigh?  It makes me think of Genesis 32:25-31.

v. 19: This must be the Battle of Armageddon, the great battle against Beast I and the kings of the earth (Revelation 16:16), which takes place on the great day of the Lord and comes as a thief in the night (16:14-15).

v. 21: What does it mean, I wonder, that the sword that kills “the rest,” i.e., all except Beast I and Beast II, comes from Christ’s mouth?  Surely it means that this battle, Armageddon, is won through the words of Christ rather than physical combat.[1]

[1] See 2:16.
